Botox®Some people find that there is nothing funny about laughter lines around the eyes. Botox® blocks impulses from the tiny facial muscles so that they do not contract. The untreated muscles contract in the usual fashion thus allowing normal facial expression.
The procedure typically lasts 10-15 minutes and the results may be seen within a few days and last for up to 4 months (individual results may vary). Most people experience very little pain, and are able to return to their normal daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Q: What can I expect during a treatment?
A: The injections are given with very tiny needles and there is no anaesthetic required. There may be a small amount of discomfort lasting only seconds when the needle is inserted but most patients remark at how little pain there is. You can immediately return to your daily activities after your treatment.
